Core activities include the development and dissemination of training resources, including webinars and speaker series, for researchers and practitioners working to reduce cardiovascular risk and premature mortality in the population with serious mental illness.
The Center will host webinar series for multiple audiences, including researchers, mental health program leaders and providers, and consumers with serious mental illness.
Annually, the Center will host a research forum where researchers from the Center and other institutions meet to discuss new research, methodological innovations, and the status of the field.
External Speaker Series:
The Center will host onsite seminars by a range of external researchers, administrative leaders, practitioners, and others with expertise in decreasing premature mortality among people with serious mental illness.
These seminars will provide a forum for Center faculty and trainees to present their ongoing research.
Interested early career faculty and trainees will have the opportunity to be matched with a senior research and/or community practice mentor.
